Cabo Verde Music Awards Artists and Journalist for RTP Africa, Mrs Maria João Silveira, visiting SOS Children’s Village Assomada

The nominated artists of the Cape Verde Music Awards (CVMA) and the journalist for RTP ​​Africa channel broadcast and the presenter of the CVMA Gala 2012, Mrs Maria João Silveira, visited on the afternoon of Wednesday, 7 March, SOS Children's Village Assomada to promote a campaign to sponsor children of this organization which this year is the Social Partner of the CVMA.
This visit also served to deliver donations raised by the journalist as football balls, t-shirts autographed by Capeverdeans  footballer who play in Portugal: Mr Rolando from FC Porto, Mr Dadi and Mr Ricardo from Olhanense, and also they offered a DVD player and computer offered by the Board of Information of RTP Africa.
For Mrs Maria João Silveira, who came as Goodwill Ambassador of SOS Children's Villages Portugal, also want to be it in other Villages over the World. She said: "it is an honour to be in this family and be an ambassador", adding that "I am outdoor ambassador, but indoor I want to be children’s Aunt".
Mr Bob, who was awarded for the Social Action, thanked the advantage to appeal the artists to carry messages to the communities where they live to publicize the role of SOS Children's Villages.
For Mr Dionísio Simões Pereira, National Director of SOS Villages Cape Verde, the works that have been done, summarize in creating conditions so that the people can live with dignity "taking as a target group the children. All this is possible with love, tenderness and understanding".
 At the end of the visit there was a choir performance of Children from SOS Children’s Village Assomada and the group of capoeira as a way to thank the guests.
